Guest Speaking

What Is Guest Speaking?

Lived experience informed presentations for organisations, education settings, and professional audiences seeking structured insight into binge eating disorder and recovery engagement.

Guest speaking provides structured educational sessions grounded in long term lived experience of binge eating disorder, recovery navigation, and interaction with health systems.

Presentations are education based and designed to complement clinical, organisational, or workplace wellbeing frameworks.

Sessions focus on:

  • Understanding binge eating disorder beyond symptom description

  • Behavioural patterns and maintenance cycles

  • Engagement barriers in mid life and long term presentations

  • The impact of stress, identity shifts, and life transition

  • Recovery education frameworks

  • Integrating lived experience perspectives into service delivery

Life in Person provides educational and lived experience informed services. Professional services are non clinical and are not a substitute for medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment.

Why Guest Speaking Matters

Many organisations and professional groups encounter increasing demand for informed discussion around eating behaviours and recovery pathways.

However, presentations are often:

  • Highly clinical and symptom focused

  • Lacking lived experience context

  • Limited in practical engagement insight

  • Or disconnected from real world behavioural patterns

Lived experience informed presentations can:

  • Strengthen practitioner understanding of behavioural cycles

  • Clarify engagement barriers

  • Support more effective communication approaches

  • Provide structured recovery education perspectives

  • Bridge gaps between theory and lived application
