Peer Support

What is Peer Support?

Peer support is non clinical support from someone who has lived experience of binge eating disorder. It is shared understanding, practical insight, and structured conversation from someone who gets it.

It does not replace professional care. It works alongside it, or on its own for people managing recovery independently.

Why Peer Support Matters

Talking to someone who has been through it is different. They already understand what you are dealing with.

Peer support can help you:

  • Reflect on what is happening in a structured way

  • Build on your recovery skills between appointments

  • Stay consistent when things get harder

  • Feel less alone in the process
