Weekend support Sessions

Weekend Support is a structured peer support session designed to help manage weekend related challenges, including binge eating triggers, routine disruption, and increased emotional vulnerability.

Sessions are delivered online and facilitated by a trained peer with lived experience of binge eating recovery. Lived experience recognises that weekends can be more difficult and that additional support during this time is important.

Designed to provide structured support across Friday and Saturday.

What To Expect

Each session is facilitated by a trained peer with lived experience of binge eating recovery.

Sessions focus on structured reflection, identification of weekend specific triggers, and practical planning to reduce risk of escalation.

You can use your session to:

  • Review binge eating episodes or urges that occurred over the weekend

  • Identify environmental or emotional triggers

  • Plan structured meals and self monitoring for the remaining weekend hours

  • Prepare for social events or unstructured time

  • Strengthen continuity before the week begins

Natalie says "Weekends are Hard"

I could manage my eating during the week, but when the weekend came, everything would fall apart. It was hard to feel like I was doing well during the week and then not be okay on weekends. That was becoming an unhelpful, and unwelcome, part of my binge eating disorder story.

The weekend support sessions gave me a place to talk about what was happening and to understand the patterns that were showing up.

Why Weekend Support

Weekends often involve disruption to routine, changes in eating structure, social events, or increased unstructured time. These shifts can increase vulnerability to binge eating behaviours.

Dedicated weekend sessions provide a defined point of reflection and planning during this period. They support continuity between the previous week and the one ahead.

Weekend Support can be used as a standalone check in or combined with ongoing peer support, courses, or self directed recovery work.
